Over a period of three days, more than a thousand residents of the region took part in the disease prevention campaign.

The event took place in Kaliningrad within the framework of the annual exhibition Medicine and Cosmetology 2021 at the BALTICEXPO Exhibition Center.

The action was organized by the regional Ministry of Health and the Center for Public Health and Medical Prevention with the participation of specialists from the Central City Clinical Hospital and the City Children’s Polyclinic.

For three days, any visitor to the exhibition had the opportunity to find out free of charge the level of sugar and oxygen in the blood, measure blood and eye pressure, undergo bioempedansometry and examination on a cardiovisor, determine their stress resistance and get advice from a nutritionist and recommendations for a healthy lifestyle.

In addition, a mobile complex “Children’s Health” was operating on the territory of the exhibition complex. Young patients were treated by a pediatric endocrinologist. He also underwent ultrasound diagnostics of the thyroid gland. In total, the children’s mobile center was attended by 20 children.

The complex of preventive measures within the framework of the exhibition also included such an important area as vaccination against coronavirus. As a result, 204 people were vaccinated against COVID-19.

In addition, specialists from the Public Health Center held lectures with residents on the prevention of respiratory viral infections, the importance of vaccination against coronavirus and influenza, conflict-free communication, nutrition for diseases of the cardiovascular system, effective methods of dealing with anxiety conditions in the era of a pandemic.

As a result, a total of 1,115 residents of Kaliningrad and the region visited the Health Corner at the exhibition for the benefit of themselves and their families in three days.
